Background


Medical data is highly sensitive information and transferring & storing medical data to the cloud on ordinary internet lines consists of several risks such as data leakage and falsification. There are severe guidelines from the authorities for storing medical data on an external server, and building systems takes a lot of effort to acquire sufficient knowledge.

Through monoZ:Connectivity, monoZ provided a secure mobile “off the internet” closed network communication, and built an database architecture that operates in an environment that complies with the guidelines of the authorities. Our solution has been addressing the growing need to store various medical data in the cloud and improve its utilization.

Challenges


  • Send medical data to the cloud platform with highest security.
  • Build the system that comply with the complex guidelines from different ministries in Japan.
  • Building and integration of data monitoring operation in the architecture.

Solution


  • Mesimo: Mesimo was proposed for “off the internet” data communication. By using lines of mobile operators, a safe and secure mobile closed network communication service was created that does not connect to the Internet thereby able to maintain the privacy of the sensitive information.
  • Centra-IoT: Centra-IoT Enterprise was fully customised to process and store the data. In addition to general functions such as tenant management and device management, monitoring functions were added in alignment with authority guidelines.
  • Server Monitoring: A 24 x 7 x 365 server monitoring service was integrated to monitor the server and platform thereby minimizing any downtime in the event of disruptions.
