Meritech is excited to announce its collaboration with Renesas Electronics Corporation, a leading provider of advanced semiconductor solutions, to deploy next-generation cellular LPWA IoT systems under its monoZ IoT portfolio. The collaboration will expand the offering of Meritech’s IoT development kit (monoZero) and software development kit (monoZ SDK) with a Renesas variant, which will enable the development of advanced IoT solutions for various industries and applications.
The upcoming iteration of monoZero, currently in development, will be powered by the Renesas RA6M5 32-bit MCU based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core and the RYZ024A LTE Cat-M1 module that supports global cellular networks. Meritech will provide embedded firmware development kit, the monoZ SDK, to facilitate programming of the monoZero RYZ024A. This SDK includes libraries for configuring the monoZero hardware, including the Renesas RYZ024A module and MCU peripherals (UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO), as well as the LwM2M client for transmitting sensor data. To simplify programming effort and time, the monoZ SDK also offers sample applications. Users can program the board using Renesas’ e² studio Integrated Development Environment.
monoZero and monoZ SDK are flagship products of monoZ™ ecosystem.
